iPhone 17 Pro: Everything we know so far about Apple's next flagship
From a redesigned camera bar to an A19 Pro chip built on TSMC's 2nm process, here's the running list of leaks, rumors, and reliable reports.
Apple's iPhone 17 Pro is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious "S-year" updates in recent memory. Multiple supply chain reports point to a redesigned rear camera plateau that stretches edge-to-edge, a new aluminum unibody frame, and a switch from titanium back to a lighter aluminum alloy.
A19 Pro: a leap on 2nm
According to sources at TSMC, the A19 Pro will be Apple's first chip built on the foundry's N2 process. Expect roughly a 15% performance gain alongside meaningful efficiency improvements — a critical lever as Apple Intelligence features continue to demand more on-device compute.
Camera bar, redesigned
The most obvious external change is the new camera plateau, which now spans the full width of the device. Apple is reportedly testing a 48MP telephoto sensor with a variable aperture, paired with an upgraded ultrawide that finally matches the main sensor in low-light performance.
Release timing
Expect an announcement in early September, with pre-orders the same week and a general release roughly 10 days later. Pricing is rumored to hold steady, although the new Pro Max may climb $100.
