Apple Details New Services Features Coming This Fall
Apple has previewed new fall services features across Apple Maps, Find My, Wallet, Apple Pay, Podcasts, iCloud, Music, and Fitness+

Apple has previewed a wide range of new services features arriving this fall alongside its 2027 software releases, including updates to Apple Maps, Find My, Apple Wallet, Apple Pay, Apple Podcasts, iCloud, Apple Music, Apple TV, and Apple Fitness+.
The features were announced by Apple on June 9 and will roll out as part of iOS 27 and the rest of the fall software lineup. Many of the additions lean on Apple Intelligence and the new Siri mode in the Camera app.
In a statement, Eddy Cue, Apple's senior vice president of Services, said the updates are meant to make everyday experiences "even more useful and fun" for hundreds of millions of users.
Apple Maps

Apple Maps is getting an enhanced Flyover experience that combines aerial imagery with AI to render select cities in greater detail. Apple says the feature is aimed at users scouting a location before a trip or exploring a city from a new perspective.
The app is also adding Local Lists in the U.S. Using insights about what is trending, Maps surfaces collections of nearby places, such as trending restaurants or spots to take kids.
Apple says the insights are derived with privacy in mind and are never tied to individual users.
Find My

Find My is gaining more flexible location sharing. Users will be able to share their location for a custom duration measured in minutes, hours, or days, or set a specific date and time for sharing to stop.
A new option also lets users pause sharing with specific people until the end of the day. Apple gives the examples of shopping for an anniversary gift or arriving at a surprise party without revealing the location.
On Apple Watch, a new unified Find My app replaces the separate Find Devices, Find Items, and Find People apps. The redesigned app uses a map centric interface and supports Precision Finding to locate a paired iPhone, AirTag (2nd generation), and AirPods Pro 3.
Apple Wallet and Apple Cash
With iOS 27, Apple Wallet will let users split bills using Apple Cash and Apple Intelligence. The feature is limited to the U.S. and requires an Apple Intelligence enabled device.
Users can scan a receipt with the iPhone camera or use a photo of a bill, then select their items to calculate their share, including tax and tip.
The capability works in Messages, in Apple Wallet, or through Visual Intelligence. Also the new Siri mode in the Camera app can surface the option to split a bill when an iPhone is pointed at a receipt.

Apple Wallet is also adding the ability to create passes from physical cards that use a barcode, such as loyalty or membership cards, or from a screenshot of a digital card. Passes can be presented as a barcode or QR code from an iPhone or Apple Watch, and pinned to the Smart Stack on Apple Watch.
For participating hotels and resorts, an enhanced key experience will let guests view trip details, receive updates about booked activities, and access available services in Apple Wallet.
Apple Pay and Tap to Pay

Apple Pay is getting an updated checkout design for online and in app purchases. Users will be able to swipe to switch cards, and eligible cards can surface details such as rewards balances, debit account balances, and pay later options. Later this year, Apple Pay will also let users add funds to an eligible debit card.
Tap to Pay on iPhone, which lets merchants accept contactless payments without extra hardware, is available in more than 50 countries and regions.
This fall it gains Tap to Share, which lets a customer connect to a participating merchant's iPhone to share information such as a shipping address, email, or loyalty details.
Customers can view the items in their basket in real time and pay with Apple Pay without tapping again. Tap to Share requires iPhone 12 or later running iOS 27 and is not available in the European Economic Area.
Apple Podcasts

Apple Podcasts is bringing video podcasts to Mac, with Picture in Picture support for watching while multitasking. The Mac experience includes transcripts, timed links, and chapters in one place.
The tvOS version is being redesigned with video playback, sidebar navigation, and support for creator episode and show artwork.
A new search within show feature is also rolling out across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Vision Pro, and the web.
iCloud
iCloud Shared Albums are being revamped with full resolution sharing, support for more file types, emoji reactions, and per album activity feeds.
New temporary albums let users collaborate on short term projects without using their iCloud storage, and anyone can join and contribute photos on the web, including people without an Apple device.
Most iCloud+ plans will also offer higher daily limits for Apple Intelligence features such as image generation, along with Apple Intelligence support for compatible Home cameras.
Apple Music
Apple Music is expanding Lyrics Translation to seven new language pairings, including English to French, German, Italian, Korean, and Spanish, as well as French to English and Japanese to English. Lyrics Pronunciation, which helps users sing along in another language, is adding five new pairings.
AutoMix is getting improved transitions and is coming to Apple Music on tvOS and HomePod.
Apple Music is also bringing its highest quality Lossless Audio to tvOS, in addition to standard Lossless, for subscribers with compatible external speakers connected to an Apple TV 4K.
Apple TV and Apple Sports

Apple TV continues to carry marquee sports including Friday Night Baseball, Major League Soccer, and Formula 1 in the U.S.
The free Apple Sports app provides real time scores, stats, and standings in more than 170 countries and regions, with more than 90 newly added markets.
Apple Fitness+

Apple Fitness+ has introduced Strong Through Menopause, a three week program of weekly Yoga and Strength workouts for users navigating perimenopause and menopause. It complements the perimenopause and menopause support added to Cycle Tracking in iOS 27. And a new Time to Walk episode features actor Busy Philipps.
Availability
The features are available for testing through the Apple Developer Program, with a public beta to follow next month through the Apple Beta Software Program. Apple says the new features will arrive as a free software update this fall. Some features may not be available in all languages or regions.
