Apple Developer App Gets Liquid Glass Redesign
Apple released version 11.0 of its Apple Developer app, introducing a Liquid Glass redesign and a fresh batch of WWDC themed iMessage stickers

Apple released version 11.0 of its Apple Developer app, introducing a Liquid Glass redesign and a fresh batch of WWDC themed iMessage stickers roughly four weeks ahead of the company's annual developer conference.
The update is one of the clearest previews yet of the visual direction Apple is expected to push further at WWDC 2026, which begins on June 8.

A new icon and a redesigned interface
The most immediately visible change is the app icon. Apple has dropped last year's stylized design in favor of an icon built around a pencil, a ruler, and a paintbrush arranged to form the letter "A." The new mark is a callback to the original App Store iconography, rendered in the translucent Liquid Glass style Apple introduced last year.
Inside the app, Apple has adopted a translucent navigation bar, a Liquid Glass slider, and a separate search button. The redesign brings the Apple Developer app in line with the broader Liquid Glass aesthetic the company has been rolling out across its platforms.
According to Apple's release notes, version 11.0 also adds list filtering by Unwatched, Bookmarked, and Downloaded, along with preferred topics. Apple also notes improved reliability of image capture during enrollment, plus bug fixes and various other enhancements.

WWDC 2026 stickers
The update ships with a refreshed animated iMessage sticker pack. The new stickers include a 50th anniversary design, a skull with an Apple eyepatch, a juice box, California poppies, and holographic style "hello" and "WWDC 26" options. Apple has used the Developer app to deliver WWDC stickers in past years, and the 2026 pack continues that tradition.
Context ahead of WWDC
Apple typically uses the Developer app as the central hub for WWDC sessions, labs, videos, and keynote streaming. The app is available on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro.
Liquid Glass first appeared with iOS 26 and is expected to evolve further at WWDC 2026, where Apple is widely expected to introduce iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, tvOS 27, and visionOS 27. According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, macOS 27 will receive what people inside Apple consider a "slight redesign" aimed at improving the readability of Liquid Glass on Mac, particularly addressing transparency and shadow quirks that have drawn complaints since macOS Tahoe shipped.
WWDC 2026 runs from June 8 through June 12. The keynote is scheduled for 10 a.m. Pacific on June 8 and will once again stream online for free.
