Apple TV has released the trailer for the third season of its sci-fi drama Silo, confirming a July 3 premiere and a weekly release schedule that runs through early September.

The hit series returns Friday, July 3, 2026. With Rebecca Ferguson back as engineer Juliette Nichols. Season three picks up after the events of the season two finale and, for the first time, splits the story across two timelines.

Release schedule

Season three will have 10 episodes. The first episode arrives July 3, with one new episode released every Friday after that.

The finale is scheduled for Friday, September 4, 2026. The cadence matches the weekly rollout Apple used for the first two seasons.

A split timeline

According to Apple's official synopsis, the new season runs two stories at once.

In the present, Juliette survives her forced "cleaning" but returns with memory loss as the silo recovers from rebellion and faces a dangerous new threat. The emotional hook is sharper this time, because Juliette is no longer only fighting the system. She is also trying to understand herself.

The second timeline is set in the "Before Times," centuries before the events of the silo. It follows journalist Helen Drew, played by Jessica Henwick, and Congressman Daniel Keene, played by Ashley Zukerman, as they uncover a conspiracy that pulls them into a chain of events with catastrophic, irreversible consequences.

Reports indicate this portion of the season draws in part on "Shift," the second book in Hugh Howey's source trilogy.

The flashback storyline is meant to finally explain how the silos came to exist and who benefited from keeping the population in the dark.

Ferguson leads the returning ensemble, which includes Common, Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, Alexandria Riley, Shane McRae, Remmie Milner, Rick Gomez, Billy Postlethwaite, and Clare Perkins.

Henwick and Zukerman, who first appeared in the season two finale, have been upgraded to series regulars. Joining them as new additions are Laura Innes, Jessica Brown Findlay, Morven Christie, Reed Birney, and Matt Craven, with Colin Hanks set to recur and Steve Zahn also returning.

Silo was created by Graham Yost, who serves as showrunner and executive producer. Ferguson is also an executive producer on the series, which is based on Howey's New York Times bestselling trilogy.
