AirPods Max 2 Drop to $509 on Amazon
available in five colors: Midnight, Starlight, Blue, Purple, and Orange.

Apple's AirPods Max 2 are on sale at Amazon for $509, down from the $549 retail price. The discount applies to the over ear headphones Apple released earlier this year as the follow up to the original AirPods Max.
The AirPods Max 2 carry over the same aluminum and memory foam design as the previous model but move to the H2 chip, bringing a number of features that were previously limited to AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods 4.

Audio
AirPods Max 2 use an Apple designed dynamic driver paired with a new high dynamic range amplifier. Apple says Spatial Audio has been improved with better instrument localization, more accurate bass response, and more natural mids and highs. The headphones support Personalized Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking and Adaptive EQ.
When connected over the included USB-C cable, AirPods Max 2 support 24 bit, 48 kHz lossless audio along with ultra low latency audio for music, movies, and games.

Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency
Powered by the H2 chip, AirPods Max 2 offer up to 1.5x more Active Noise Cancellation than the previous AirPods Max, according to Apple. Transparency mode and Adaptive Audio, which dynamically blends ANC and Transparency based on the surrounding environment, are also supported.
H2 Features
The move to H2 brings Conversation Awareness, Voice Isolation, Siri Interactions, and the ability to activate Siri by saying just "Siri." Live Translation is supported when paired with an Apple Intelligence enabled iPhone running iOS 26.4 or later.
Connectivity and Battery
AirPods Max 2 use Bluetooth 5.3, up from Bluetooth 5.0 on the original AirPods Max. Battery life is rated at up to 20 hours of listening with Active Noise Cancellation enabled, and a 5 minute charge provides around 1.5 hours of playback. Charging is handled over USB-C.
The AirPods Max are available in five colors: Midnight, Starlight, Blue, Purple, and Orange. The Amazon sale price of $509 applies across colors while supplies last.
