The Prime Day Apple deals actually worth your money on day 2

So I went through the Apple stuff and pulled out the deals that I'd actually tell a friend to look at, the ones where the price is low enough to matter and the product is still worth owning. What surprised me is that these are barely four months old. A brand new flagship from Apple taking $150 off this early is not normal. You're getting the over ear, all aluminum build, the spatial audio with head tracking, and USB-C.

Look, I'm not saying AirPods Max are for everyone, they're heavy and they're a luxury, but if you were ever going to talk yourself into a pair, $399 is the price where it stops feeling silly. Whether it holds for the rest of the sale is anyone's guess.

And if you just want something cheap and good, AirPods 4 are sitting at $99 (regularly $129). Easy gift, easy backup pair.

The M5 MacBook Air at $949

If you want a new laptop, the 2026 M5 MacBook Air is the sweet spot, and almost the entire lineup is $150 off right now.

The 13 inch M5 Air with 16GB of memory and 512GB of storage starts at $949, down from $1,099. That base config is the one most people should buy. 16GB of RAM and a roomy 512GB drive is a genuinely comfortable starting point, not the stripped down 8GB/256GB trap Apple used to push you into.

Step up to 1TB and it's $1,149, and the 15 inch model starts at $1,149 if you want the bigger screen.

Personally, I'd take the 13 inch 16/512 at $949 and not look back. The M5 Air is fanless, light, and powerful enough for everything short of heavy video work.

MacBook Pro deals if you actually need the power

The new 2026 M5 Pro and M5 Max MacBook Pro models are up to $250 off, and the late 2025 M5 MacBook Pro is up to $155 off. A few that stood out:

If you've wanted the small, genuinely pocketable iPad for reading, travel, or notes, this is the dip worth taking. For most people the 128GB at $399 is plenty.

AirTag 2 is down to $24 from $29, and the four pack is $89 (regularly $99). Not a huge discount, but AirTags rarely move on price at all, so if you've been meaning to tag your luggage or keys, stock up now.

Apple Watch, if you're due for an upgrade

Quick hits on the Watch side, because several models hit new all-time lows. Apple Watch Series 11 starts at $279 (down from $399), the Apple Watch Ultra 3 is $649 (down from $799) across most band options

The Ultra 3 at $649 is the standout of the two. A $150 cut on the rugged, big battery flagship is the kind of deal that doesn't come around often.

If I could only point you at one thing, it's AirPods Pro 3 at $179. Best product to price ratio in the whole sale, and almost nobody regrets good earbuds.
